The Official Blog of Pikes Peak Writers

Submissions

We frequently have guest bloggers providing information that is interesting to our members and site visitors. Sometimes the guest blogger is someone we have specifically sought out and invited, and other times selected from a submission or proposal.

If you have something you thing would be of benefit to the members and visitors to our blog, please send a brief proposal to our web editor.

Articles must be about writing and writers. Writing craft, the publishing industry, writing tools, writing motivation, and writing anecdotes are all acceptable topics. You must own the rights to submit the material. If your article has been previously published in any format please include the details with your submission. We do not accept fiction or poetry unless it is a sample used to illustrate a point of craft. By submission of any article for publication you are declaring that you own the sole rights to the materials provided.

If your proposal is accepted, you will be asked to submit an article between 500 and 700 words in length. Pictures and illustrations, as long as YOU own the rights, are welcome.

Note: we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and do not pay for content. We will, of course, provide full author’s credit and include a bio with optional image and a link you a website of your choice. All content is subject to editorial approval and may be edited before publication.

For more information see our general website submission guidelines.
